About AOD Psychotherapy

Learn more about me and my background and qualifications and what I offer.

About Me

I’m Anna and I am helping people navigate breakups, relationship patterns, and emotional reconnection.

These can be romantic relationships but I also offer help with friendship problems and issues with family and other complex relationships.

Whether you’re facing the end of a relationship, feeling stuck in repeating dynamics with a friend or family member, or trying to understand yourself better, therapy offers space to reflect, understand, and heal.

Before training as a therapist, I worked in the finance sector in the City while raising my family, so I understand the pressures of balancing career, home life, and personal wellbeing.

A Deeper Understanding of Culture

Having lived between cultures (Eastern Europe, North Africa and the UK), I bring sensitivity to how identity, belonging, and early experiences shape our relationships — with others and with ourselves.

My Approach

My work is anchored in a humanistic approach, meaning I believe deeply in your capacity for growth. I offer a secure, thoughtful, and non-judgemental space where we can explore the unique contours of your relational story and begin the essential work of healing.

I am dedicated to anti-oppressive practices in my psychotherapy work, continually learning and growing. I have worked with neurodivergent, and LGBTQIA communities, aiming to provide support and create a safe, inclusive space for all intersectional identities.

I am a trainee member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and a member of the Metanoia Institute. My practice is guided by the ethical principles and professional standards of both organisations, with a strong emphasis on respect, confidentiality, and client wellbeing. I receive regular clinical supervision to support my work and to ensure that I practise safely, reflectively, and ethically. I am also committed to ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in order to deepen my clinical skills and maintain high standards of practice.

I am a trainee psychotherapist, in my 5th and final year. I have already been practicing for over three years at various counselling clinics (Metanoia Counselling and Psychotherapy Service, Epsom Counselling Service, The Awareness Centre in Clapham)

My Therapy Room

Finding the right environment is a crucial part of making our work together effective. My private practice offers a dedicated, tranquil, and comfortable space located in South West London.

The therapy room itself is a bright and welcoming garden room, offering a calm retreat away from the noise of daily life. I have prioritised creating an atmosphere that feels comfy, safe, and entirely confidential, allowing you to relax and speak openly.

Location

I am based in Wandsworth, SW17, just a five-minute walk from Wandsworth Common train station, and around a 10-minute walk from Balham or Tooting tube stations. The 219 and 319 buses stop nearby.
